Delete your Jotter account

You can permanently delete your account and Jotter data at any time.

Delete from inside Jotter

  1. Open Jotter and go to Settings.
  2. Open Account.
  3. Choose Delete Account and confirm the deletion.

This is the quickest way because Jotter can securely verify the signed-in account before deleting it.

Request deletion from the web

If you cannot access Jotter, you can still start an account-deletion request without reinstalling the app.

Sending this request does not immediately delete the account. Before deletion is completed, we will take reasonable steps to verify that the person making the request controls the Jotter account.

How verification works

We may ask you to confirm information through the email address or authentication method already associated with the account. This is intended to prevent accidental or unauthorised deletion while keeping the process straightforward.

What is deleted?

Account deletion removes the Jotter account and the user-controlled account data associated with it, including saved Jots and related library information, subject to limited information that may need to be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, technical recovery or legal obligations.

What happens to my subscription?

Important: deleting your Jotter account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription.

Cancel an active subscription separately through Apple or Google. If you delete your account first, the store may still continue the subscription until you cancel it.

Changed your mind?

Account deletion is intended to be permanent. Export anything you want to keep before deleting your account.
